Since June of 2012, Hancock County Animal Shelter has been operating out of a new facility in Kiln, MS. Located at 7175 Texas Flat Road, we are centrally located to serve the entire Hancock County area as well as, the Cities of Bay St. Louis, Waveland, and Diamondhead. We also work closely with other animal related organizations in and around the greater Gulf Coast area and throughout the country.

Hancock County Animal Shelter’s mission is to assist our community with all animal related concerns and issues such as stray and unwanted animals, injured and sick animals, as well as potentially dangerous and harmful animals. We are able to better serve our community quickly and efficiently by having great working relationships with all entities within Hancock County.

Funded by county tax dollars, local animal related organizations, and public donations, Hancock County Animal Shelter is able to facilitate the thousands of animals in Hancock County that are at risk of being left homeless, defenseless, and otherwise neglected. Because of this we are able to facilitate and house numerous species of animals including dogs, cats, livestock, and several different varieties of exotic animals.
